Moray Sports Centre
Progress has been fast here since the steel frames arrived and the arcs have been installed. We knew that the size of the site was significant but only now can we get a sense of the true scale of the building, which will soon be home to four first-class tennis courts.
The realisation of this facility has been a long-term ambition for the tennis community in Moray and will give them year-round tennis, with opportunities for enhanced participation, competition, performance and coach development.
It is also of national significance as Tennis Scotland see this as the pioneering project that will drive the expansion of tennis across the whole country
Bob Cunningham, Moray Sports Foundation trustee, said, “This will unlock opportunities that Moray’s tennis players could previously only have dreamt of… For the first time we will be able to employ full time coaches…and there will be tennis for everyone, from lifetime recreational players and promising youngsters coming up through grassroots, to people of any age or ability picking up a racket for the first time.”
Welland Park Academy
We’ve reached the closing stages of this project too, honing in on quality to ensure that our installations are fully operational and that the standards will exceed our client’s expectations. The energy efficient electrics, plumbing and heating are all being scrutinised and we’ve included some fantastic state-of-the-art features.
All the lights are motion activated so no light switches required. Thermostatic concealed valves on the hot water taps will eliminate the risk of scolding and automatic motion activated extraction fans provide clean air circulation at all times in the changing rooms.
Excitement is building around the school and when Leicestershire badminton club paid us a visit, they said they were blown away and couldn’t wait to call this facility their home!
Swindon Town FC Community Foundation
It’s been a busy time in Swindon with all the surfacing work being carried out. The shock pads are down and the turf has been laid and sand dressed. The lines have been painted to mark out one 7-a-side and two 5-a-side football pitches.
The lighting and airsocks have also been fully installed and we are back outside to tidy up the groundworks as well as complete the perimeter fencing.
The final handover is imminent and we cannot wait for the grand opening!
Sport is definitely in the driving seat at the moment, not just for us as a business but Sport England have reported this month that adult participation in sport is back to pre-pandemic levels with a 43% increase just for tennis. News from the recent TIA spring forum also confirmed what we already suspected, that padel is making some big moves. Time to build some new courts!
